For Windows edit C:\Users\{User}\AppData\I2P\eepsite\docroot\index.html , for Mac edit /Users/{user}/Library/Application Support/i2p/index.html . For this you don't need anything, but a IIP and text file editor. If you would love to (and you had one), but it can't start after system (and IIP) reinstall, then just replace all your paths in .xml (and in tunnels) to current in ~/.i2p .

If you hook directly to the parallel bus then you have much more control and depending on the display you can draw custom characters. Which means you can display graphics on an otherwise text only display. It's pretty cool stuff. The LCD designer on this site works very well and gives useful output. Even if the output isn't the format you need for your display it's easy enough to re-parse.
