So if the front page says "5 MB/s" this is "5*1000*1000 byte per second". If the underlying math uses a base of 1024, then this should read "5 MiB/s". This is the only correct way. Alas, using decimals for file sizes is IMHO difficult, because if a file is 5,000 MiB on my harddisk, I don't want this file to show up in a P2P application as "5,243 MB" because it is a network application - this is simply...
