It's not a coincidence that ISIS seemingly fights all of America and Israel's enemies, whether it be Iran, Russia, Egypt, China, Libya and other up and coming nations in West Africa. They even fight the Taliban, even though the Taliban is essentially an Islamic State in practice. None of this is new. The USA has routinely used Jihadist/Islamist groups to further its geopolitical objectives, from Indonesia, to attacking the Soviet Union, etc. ¨ SullenDoze...

Update: March 2022 Normally I wouldn't update a post like this, but it seems important to highlight the mindset of some of the interests embedded into the Crypto world. Most of the world (read: even the Taliban...) stands in support of Ukraine following Russia's illegal invasion of their territory. Part of that stand involves severe economic sanctions, which has significantly devalued the Rouble and made the transfer of funds in/out of Russia difficult, if not impossible.
It wasn't long before Yuri, and many pilots like him, found themselves an unlikely (and ethically dubious) hub of global trading. Men like these are paid by the U.S., the Taliban, and blue-chip multinational companies to bring supplies- some legal, some not-across dangerous borders. In a feat of daring reportage, Potter gets onto the flight deck with these outlaws and tells the story of their fearless missions.
