2 years ago | 2 0 DerpMeister The Soviets used a 2-gyro stabilizer in the T-54 (that is since the 1950's), while the US e.g. used a, by comparison less effective, 1-gyro stabilizer until 1964, when the US company Honeywell introduced an upgraded version with additional gyros. That brought the M60 weapon stabilization on par with the T-54/55, although it was immediately outclassed by the T-64, which was the first tank with the sight stabilization being separated from the gun stabilization.
