Maybe the latter just gets seen 100 times more often and it's actually less liked. Whereas if I see two entries, one with 4.5 stars on 10 ratings versus one with 1.8 stars on 200 ratings, I feel confident in saying the latter will be worse in some way. Also the ratings should be visible on the torrent list, seeing it after loading the page is a bit of a waste.
