I personally know former burger rightoids, both online and IRL, who are now M–L, it's not rare. I went out to a nightclub with strangers a while back and 4 out of 5 self-identified as socialists, and no matter what you think of "socialists", reformists, trots, demsocs, blah blah blah, the truth is that conditions are worsening, the internet has widened awareness of this, self-proclaimed communist countries are rising, and socialism is quickly becoming the flavor of the decade.
