One thing I2P has going for it is BitTorrent. No need to find/pay for a good VPN to download those 4k Linux ISOs. "Copyright holders hate this one weird trick!" I could see this being a selling point of the I2P network.

By my non-scientific estimates, roughly 85% of the world-wide-web as a whole blocks or hinders anonymizers such as Tor. Don't think you are (much) safer on a VPN either: their ranges might get the same treatment. The same thing happens with I2p ' s outproxies (which are sometimes also Tor exit nodes and are thus included on the Tor exit node list).
