It would be better to use the human-readable name of the website and a .b32.i2p link. My comment on this: tor only has cryptic onion addresses, and it seems to work for the tor net anyways? But sites collecting onion links like onion wikis are needed for site discovery anyways, trust into these aggregators is assumed, why not bunble that with a domain some name registry?

It's not completely empty I write this while listening to rock-radio.i2p and clicking through other blogs like zer0bitz.i2p . This post is where I learned my web browser had sprung a DNS leak. It's not like there's literally nothing here. Just not a lot of sites of interest to me. There seems to be a bit of a chicken and egg problem going on here.

It is not the only one: hyphanet is one (akzschually, I2P spurred from hyphanet’s predecessor, freenet); TOR is the most famous one. I mention (and wanted to write about) i2p because I love i2p’s indie web vibe. Personal sites are probably the most prolific kind of site on the network and it’s no surprise: it’s practically free to host yours on it.
