"but your e-ink needs to charge" ya, like every couple of months if i use it all the time, so not a huge risk in practical terms. I also have a 'spare' reader with about 500 books on it, and solar charger panel for it. I only bring it out to be sure its charged. Aside from novels to occupy my time for extended periods of no power, it has survival info, engineering books, farming, foraging, ( in color.. ) wood working, etc.
