Copyright from the start has always been inherently anti property rights because accepting the premise that things are *licensed* instead of the ownership over that thing, in this case a copy of a *copyrighted* work, being transferred. If you buy a chair to put in your room it doesn't get licensed to you, that chair is yours when you buy it, because that's how property rights work, but in case of you "buying" a copyrighted work, now magically you don't own that copy but...
