It's not completely empty I write this while listening to rock-radio.i2p and clicking through other blogs like zer0bitz.i2p . This post is where I learned my web browser had sprung a DNS leak. It's not like there's literally nothing here. Just not a lot of sites of interest to me. There seems to be a bit of a chicken and egg problem going on here.

So the tor daemon has to be started by tails with the correct userid and then TBB has to be told to stfu and use the version of tor that is already running. Since firefox doesn't run under that tor username it can't leak your real IP address even if there was a full code execution vulnerability. To leak your real IP on tails an attacker needs to get root and take down the firewall or get code execution inside the tor daemon.
