If you just share all the files inside a folder but not the folder itself, the folder name will appear grayed-out. If the name of the folder appears in solid colour, you can right-click on it and configure some additional options such as who is alloiwed to see the files inside it.

You might also consider creating a user called tor and chowning -R the hidden_service folder and running tor as the tor user for a little extra security. While i was able to transfer bigger mails via SMTP and POP3 (slowly but successfully) the IMAP clients just started to hang after a while and did not recover, Smaller mails have been handled well. folder parsing and header transmission was not quite as slow as expected. But as soon as it comes to mails over 500k i was not able to fetch / move mails around.
