At a bare minimum a dedicated I2P search engine should: Not use Javascript. Use the host name for sites when possible. Only show results for active sites. Minimally impact sites. Be self hosted or run as a public service. I would need to build some sort of site status checker to tell if a site is active.

Sometimes hidden forums take down certain posts that may contain illegal content and because of that, one would need to work closely with these sites to be notified as to what archived site should be removed as well.
