While I was at it, I also made the URL validation a lot stricter I spent some time fixing bugs around URL validation. Before, it was a bit too forgiving. Now it’s stricter. If a link is malformed, weird, or just clearly garbage, it gets rejected early. No need to waste time or resources probing something that was never valid to begin with.
